The Great Frontier Is Open For Business.
A model of the SpaceShipTwo spaceship is seen after it was unveiled by entrepreneur Richard Branson and aircraft designer Burt Rutan in New York January 23, 2008. Branson on Wednesday unveiled a model of Virgin Galactic and Scaled Composites' new WhiteKnightTwo and SpaceShipTwo aircrafts, which he hopes will be the first to take paying passengers into space on a regular basis next year.

High-end going Green Machine.
The Karma by Fisker Automotive Inc. will have a based price of $80,000.It's billed as the first luxury plug-in hybrid, it looks cool and it's hopes to take "green" to another level in automotive level. Initial deliveries of the Karma will commence in the late part of 2009 with annual production projected to reach 15,000 cars. The first 99 cars manufactured will be numbered and signed by Henrik Fisker and will be produced in the color and trim of the show car seen at the International Auto Show in Detroit.

A piece of Neoclassic
The ultimate luxury Mercedes was created in 1969 when the 280 SE 3.5 convertible was introduced.
This model has an iron block aluminum head V-8 used in the forthcoming 350 SL.
The 280 SE 3.5 is highly prized among Mercedes enthusiasts for its high level of luxury - the wood and the leather work are reminiscent of earlier hand-made cars and the performance is also quite remarkable for a five-seater car, with a 0-60 mph time of under 10 seconds, 200hp @ 5,800rpm and a top speed of 125 mph.
Only 1,232 genuine convertible, such as the car presented here were produced between 1969 and 1971.

Price is now come down but, still high at $200,000 per flight but, in the year 2012 they say prices will be around $20,000 the price of mid-size Honda civic.
Automotive History.
As you may know, in 1942, During WW2, rationing of different foods, gas, and clothing began because the soldiers needed the items to aid them in fighting the war. Ration stamps such were issued to all Americans and used to buy rationed items.
This gasoline ration book is a Type R Non-Highway which allowed the owner 5 gallons of gas per week per coupon.This collection contains certificates and stamps which were used for the purchase of
bicycles, automobiles, food, fuel oil, gasoline, rubber footwear, shoes, sugar, tires and
typewriter rental. It also contains War Ration Books One through Three and Five.
These books were intended primarily for use with food items. Books One and Two were
distributed through public schools. Book Three was distributed through the mail. Book
Four (not included in the collection) was distributed through school systems and lasted,
with the addition of ration tokens, until the end of the war. War Ration Book Five was
prepared in early 1945, and several million copies of it were printed before
V-E Day (May 8, 1945), when work on the book was abandoned.

Automotive History.
Economically, the seventies were marked by the energy crisis which peaked in 1973 and 1979 (see 1973 oil crisis and 1979 oil crisis). After the first oil shock in 1973, gasoline was rationed in many countries. Europe particularly depended on the Middle East for oil; the U.S. was also affected even though it had its own oil reserves. Many European countries introduced car-free days. In the U.S., customers with a license plate ending in an odd number were only allowed to buy gasoline on odd-numbered days, while even-numbered plate-holders could only purchase gasoline on even-numbered days.
