A Golf that could be the pace car for the 24 hour race at Le Mans. Its name is its mission: W12 cylinders, 650 hp (477 kW at 6,000 rpm). A showcar, no more, no less. At the same time it demonstrates the enormous potential that such a car can offer. Did I mention 0-60 in 3.7 sec.

The Maserati Mexico was a luxurious 2+2, designed by Vignale and introduced at the 1966 Turin Auto Show. A combined total of 483 Mexicos were produced. The Mexico was initially equipped with a 4.2-liter V8, driving through a ZF transmission, and live rear axle. The interior was fitted with a beautiful wood dash and window trim. The lovely Connolly leather interior featured thick Wilton wool carpets, and all cars were air conditioned. Later Mexicos were fitted with 4.7-liter engines. There was also one produced with 4.9-liter engine, and strangely one was special ordered with a 3.7 Liter straight six cylinder. Power steering was an option (an important one); if you can find one with power steering you are better off. Although standard steering cars can be a little bit heavy in parking situations, on balance they have good road feel and offer simplicity.

Will It Make The Market Place?
At the time that the Rapide was first shown, we were told it was just a concept and unlike other concepts, this one really is capable of being driven. By late May 2006, Dr Bez confirmed in a magazine interview that AM & Ford had signed off the car for production. With all the other projects that are current such as the DBS and V8 Roadster, the production Rapide will not be seen until late 2008 or early 2009, but whatever, AM would love to beat the Porsche Panamera to the marketplace.

The Ford 427 concept is a modern, all-American sedan inspired by the exuberance of the companyÌs landmark sedans of the 1960s, replete with the uncompromising, 590-horsepower engine that inspired its name. Duesenburg Custom Coach has delayed the launch of its Duesenberg II Torpedo Coupe. Based on the Mercedes CL500, the Duesenberg II Torpedo Coupe was originally slated for an August introduction but is now expected to bow in mid-2008. No official reason has been given for the delay
But, When the Torpedo finally does break cover, it will be powered by a conventional engine as well as a new engine-technology known as Cylindrical Engine Model. At the 1955 Geneva Motorshow Fiat introduced a convertible based on the new 1100 Saloon. Pinin Farina was responsible for the body design of Fiat's first post-War convertible. Its design resembled that of the Lancia Aurelia Spider and like the Lancia featured a wrap-around windscreen. In 1959 a revised model was launched, which featured a restyled body, but continued to use many of the parts already found on the 1100 Spider.
Dubbed 1500 Cabriolet, the new convertible was again bodied by Pinin Farina. This time the design reminded of the Ferrari 250 GT convertible models. In a search for more power, Fiat approached Italian racing car manufacturer OSCA to supply engines for the convertible. OSCA's DOHC 1.5 litre four cylinder engine perfectly fitted in the engine bay of the Fiat. The OSCA powered Fiat was named 1500S.
A larger 1.6 litre '1600S' version made its debut in 1962. With 90 bhp on the tap, the 1600S proved to quite a performer, both on the road and on the track. Almost all OSCA Fiats were fitted with Pinin Farina designed coupe or cabriolet bodies, with the featured model being a rare exception. In an unrestored state by Christie's in the Paleis 't Loo Concours d'Elegance, where one failed to meet the reserve. The estimated price was $19,000 to $23,000.

In 1965 “When Mr. Ferrari finally said yes, he said, ‘Okay, you make it not with a Ferrari, but with a Dino,’” Pininfarina said. That meant the car would use a six-cylinder engine instead of one of Ferrari’s more-powerful V-12s. “In his mind, less powerful meant less danger for the customers,” Pininfarina explained. “And therefore I had the permission to develop the Dino.” The name memorialized Enzo’s son, Dino, who had died in 1956. By the time assembly of the Ferrari Dino 246 GT and GTS ceased in 1974, production, including the 206 GT, totaled nearly 4,000. Ferrari’s first midengine road car had become its best-selling series up to that time. Now Three Generations later the New Dino is revealed, Enjoy.
